The history and future of the law of charity

chapter
posted on 2023-05-24, 06:14 authored by Gino Dal PontGino Dal Pont
To address the topic of the history and future of the law of charity represents a broad remit. For instance, as the history (and arguably also the future) of charity law is intertwined with fiscal concessions, the topic could easily be approached from this perspective. But a dedicated part of this book targets the tax treatment of not-for-profit organizations (see Part V). The future of the law of charity law must grapple with constitutional freedoms and protections, but again this book addresses the topic explicitly (see Part III).
