Abstract

This exhibition is a survey of early making that informs the current stage of my PhD project with the University of Tasmania.

The works displayed begin the transition from my previous explorations relating to the sanitisation of landscape to extending the idea of art, art creation and artistic expression as providing a voice for landscape. They are varied in medium and media as well as size and concept.

Moving towards using souvenir, familiarity and nostalgia to create a vocabulary through commonness of feelings relating to place.
