Scalable Bioacoustics Pre-Processing: a platform to efficiently pre-process and reduce noise from large scale bioacoustics recordings in a distributed system

This prototype distributed system can efficiently perform common preprocessing tasks on environmental acoustic data: removal of background noise, deletion of segments degraded by the sound of rain, and removal of cicada choruses from source recordings (leaving other sounds at different frequencies unchanged). The system was used as the basis for the experimental work presented in:
