The culture of science is premised on the idea that there are no barriers; that everybody is treated equally as long as they put in the effort. But the reality is that women are facing serious challenges that’s resulting in many leaving, write Robyn Moore and Meredith Nash from the University of Tasmania, who recently asked 61 women about their careers in STEMM.
