Assembly is one of the primary processes in production lines. Even automation is generally used in most assembly lines nowadays, manual assembly is more economically feasible in certain cases, especially in complex products and in developing countries where the labor cost is still inexpensive. To assembly complex products, skillful workers are needed. High cost training process is required in order to make the manual assembly process successful effectively. In this research, an interactive self-training system using vision system and see-through smart glasses is designed and developed. The system aims to reduce the cost due to supervision and improve the training standard including fine motor skill and procedure. Water meters are used as the case study.
