Abstract

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the first issue of the ASMJ of which we are editors. The Australian Senior Mathematics/ouwaal (ASMJ) is a professional journal of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers (AAMT) Inc. devoted to the teaching and learning of mathematics in senior secondary school and in the early years of tertiary education. We approach this responsibility with the long history of the ASMJ in mind, and its place within the AAMT.
