The economic ability of a country can be an important political tool abroad of a country called economic diplomacy. Economic diplomacy is an attempt to influence other countries by using valuable economic resources. Valuable resources in this regard not only focus on natural resources, but also include capital goods and technology. Since the source is an economic good, it can be transformed into a political tool, both in return for the sanction. There are at least three criteria for an activity to be categorized as economic diplomacy, namely: (1) can be in a positive way (reward) or negative (sanctions) affect other countries to surrender a concession or agree on a particular political formula; (2) can strengthen the political position of the state itself or weaken the politics of the opposing country; (3) may extend the area of ​​influence to other countries in the framework of its national interest.
