Abstract

Histories of the two major British universities, Oxford and Cambridge – two of the world-leading universities – have had a particularly interesting evolution, not least due to the changing nature of historical study to date. Various incarnations of the history of the University of Oxford in particular have sought to investigate the long and multi-faceted history of the institution from all possible angles.
