Abstract

In this presentation on the future of retail, Dr Louise Grimmer will discuss the impact of technology on traditional modes of shopping and present five trends that are influencing the way we shop and interact with retailers. Louise will also discuss the impact of technology and changes in consumer shopping habits on small, independent retailers and the outcomes for local communities and economies. Louise’s presentation will also provide an overview of her retail research projects currently being conducted at the University.
