Abstract
Although few people today have heard of them, the nine novels
published by Marie Bjelke-Petersen between 1917 and 1937 were.
immensely popular in their time. Sales, including translations, totalled
250,000 and in 1935 Bjelke-Petersen was awarded the King's Jubilee Medal for
Literature.
