In Sex, Ethics, and Young People, Moira Carmody presents an innovative sexual education programme aimed at young people that, to date, has been implemented and evaluated in a range of locations across Australia and New Zealand with promising results. The Sex & Ethics Program was developed with the intention of filling the gaps that currently exist in sexuality education by equipping young people with the skills needed to make sound and informed sexual choices and interrupting the culture of sexual coercion that reportedly exists in this population and society at large. The programme takes a fresh approach to sexuality education by encouraging educators to work alongside young people and respect their individuality, while concurrently imparting an ethical understanding of how they can best treat themselves and others.
