Live performance broadcast on Edge Radio Hobart

Johnstone, D, Live performance broadcast on Edge Radio Hobart, Edge Radio Hobart (2017) [Broadcast]

Mama K and the Big Love performed 2 original soul / funk / heathen gospel songs for a live broadcast on Edge Radio, Hobart. The songs (written by David Johnstone) reference the early days of gospel and soul to weave the familiar 'call and response' sound into 60s based funky grooves. The songs: 'Moth to the Flame' examines the similarity between a stripper and a priest, who both exploit their loyal flock of followers with promises of heaven; and 'Don't Take Too Long' about the delusions often attached to drug dependency.
