Stator current frequency analysis for the condition monitoring of induction motors. I. Fixed supply frequency

The paper presents the formulae to predict the extra frequencies of a induction motor current due to rotor defects and load torque pulsation. The theoretical predictions are verified by experimental results from a laboratory motor with deliberately damaged rotor, and from motors in industry.
