A one-pot route to thioamides discovered by gas-phase studies: palladium-mediated CO2 extrusion followed by insertion of isothiocyanates

Palladium-mediated decarboxylation of aromatic carboxylic acids followed by addition of substituted isothiocyanates leads to the corresponding thioamide derivatives.
