Performance of behaviour of scattering mechanisms in time-scale domain against random noise for centimetre wave radar

The down range profile is obtained from the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) of the backscattered data. Local maxima detected corresponding to different noise levels confirm the invariant location and number of scattering centres in the range profile. They provide crucial information for automatic target recognition.
