Abstract

Part 1 of this paper (Duldig and Humble, 20 12) covered the discovery of cosmic rays, the early history of cosmic ray research and Australian involvement up to the 1940s. Part 2 (Humble and Duldig, 2013, hereafter 'Part 2') extended the history into developments in the decades following the end of World War 2. The following material considers some of the subsequent progress.
