Dosing recommendations for a number of antimicrobial classes are presented in the previous chapter. A number of antimicrobials have very little in-formation on the pharmacokinetics (PK) variability or dosing strategies for obese patients. This chapter will briefly outline the literature and dosing recommendations for other miscellaneous antimicrobials that are not presented elsewhere in the book. Dosing recommendations for these agents in obese patients have been made based on the limited available information. There is an urgent need for robust PK studies of many antibiotics that are commonly used in obese patients to guide dosing recommendations.
