Electromagnetically induced transparency in nano-structures made from metallic nanorod and split-ring-resonator

posted on 2023-05-18, 17:23 authored by Li, C, Huang, L, Wang, W, Ma, X, Zhou, S, Jiang, YIn this paper,the selectively excited EIT effect by RCP and LCP can be achieved by three dimensional (3D) nano-structures composed of the metallic nanorod and special split-ring-resonator (SRR). Numerical calculations on electric field distributions indicate that the chirality contributes to this novel effect. Moreover, it also demonstrated that constructive interference of bright-bright mode leads to a broad band transparent window in nonchiral metamaterials. These new findings could be employed to distinguish RCP and LCP light and also have potential application in optical polarization switching.
