This creative research explores the intersection between the participants diverse culture backgrounds and colaborative improvised music. Musicians from Australia, Germany, America, France, Ireland, Switzerland and Greece were placed in an ensemble. None of the musicians knew each other personally or had knowledge of each others cultural and idiomatic nuances, in a musical context, prior to this event. This included significant barriers around verbal and non verbal communication. The task of creating cohesive improvised music within this environment was a key research component of this project.
