Abstract
With many homes ill-designed to cope with extremes of heat, how can the most
vulnerable in our communities stay safe as heatwaves become more common,
and more extreme? Community refuges are one option, but another is to retrofit
a small part of a home as a low-cost climate refuge. Sue Roaf explains.
