conference contribution

The heart of our social system is the family and if we are to maintain the health of our society, we must discover the best means of nurturing the heart. The strengths found within families around the world are astoundingly similar and through family strengths, it is apparent we are more united than divided. Understanding, assessing and promoting family strengths empowers nurses to identify what families are doing well and support what they can do to optimise positive outcomes. Facilitating families to incorporate their strengths in strengths based nursing helps motivate families to achieve optimal health and wellbeing outcomes.
